Rocket League developer Psyonix has teased via Twitter a new Basketball-themed mode, possibly called Hoops.
Going by the Twitter screenshot, there’s a hint that this new mode will require high-level aerial skills to nudge the ball into a half-pipe style hoop, which seems to be the a fitting evolution as I find most experienced players spend more time doing aerial acrobatics than driving around. It’s set to arrive in time for March Madness, the college basketball tournament.

For those who have been living under a rock, Rocket League is, of course, a phenomenal success, which explains Psyonix’s continuing support and new content. By the end of 2015, the game had been downloaded over eight million times and grossed over $50 million, which has risen to an impressive $70 million so far this year – not bad for an indie developer.
So are you keen for this new game mode, or will you stick to the original?
