Don Juan will be hitting Q Theatre’s Loft every weekend from 27 October – 12 November, and it looks set to be a bit of a revel. Five fabulous French performers retell the (relatively ridiculous) story of Don Juan. Bring your partners, tinder dates, platonic life partners, or equally raucous group of mates, and prepare for a good night out.
“Don Juan feels like you’re being told the story of an outrageous friend of a friend. Incredibly entertaining. Go with a group…it will be more fun that way”
– The Wellingtonista
Leo Gene Peters brings together physical comedy, pop songs and irreverent wit to tell the story of a man who does whatever he wants; he chats, he flirts, he fights and he drinks. That said, he’s also a bit of a fool, just like the rest of us, and somehow he doesn’t quite get what he wants.
The cast remakes Don Juan, the five members playing the entire roll-call of outrageous characters. Starring Tim Carlsen and Jack Buchanan, each who’ve impressed with comedy and satire, Don Juan promises to be a bit of a party.
“…what theatre could be, not what it has been for the last hundred years. That’d be Don Juan’s greatest conquest”
-Arthur Meek, Playwright/Profit and Delight Blog
