The rumours have been floating around for a little while, and a mysterious poster emerged earlier in the week, but it has finally been confirmed that the wonderful Adele will be gracing our shores on March 23rd 2017.
The global superstar, who has continued to impress us for years with her powerhouse voice and painfully real lyrics, will play a number of stadium shows across Australia before landing in Auckland for a final show at Mt Smart Stadium. Over the past few years, the venue has seen the likes of The Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran, and Coldplay take its stage, but Adele will bring something entirely different. The stage will be in the centre of the stadium, giving a 360º production.
The stage set-up means that wherever your seats are in the venue, you’ll never feel too far from the wondrous woman herself. Despite the grandeur of Mt Smart, the intention is to create a more intimate feel throughout the show, which is important given that she is a solo performer who relies heavily on her voice as opposed to stage theatrics.
Throughout 2016, Adele has played a massive 107 shows across the world, and based on the response, we won’t be at all disappointed. We may have had to wait years to witness her magic, but all bitterness will slip away as soon as she steps on stage.
Tickets are available from 12pm on the 22nd of November with the Live Nation pre-sale, with general sale starting at 12pm on the 24th November from Ticketmaster.
Prices range from $99.90 for D reserve seating, to $799.90 for the top level VIP ticket which includes premium seating and a pre-show party amongst other fancy things.
Based on live videos, there is no doubt that Adele will be outstanding, and tickets are not going to be around for long, so be on the ball to avoid missing out.
