Words by Shelley Te Haara

After playing at the legendary Download Festival and touring the UK, Devilskin have brought their tour back home. Touring NZ from October 5th – October 21st, they are looking to celebrate their album Be Like The River being certified gold:

“A #1 Gold Album! Thank you so much to everyone who has had a part in this. Nic, Jennie, Nail, and I are terrifically proud of Be Like The River. This album, to us, encapsulates our journey, vision, sacrifice and passion, the years of hard work (from so many), and the beautiful ride that it continues to be. We are all so grateful to be able to do what we love, and that you love it! Too many to name them all, but BIG ‘Thanks’ to our family <3 management, live & studio crew, the NZ music industry, and YOU awesome people that get out there and support us physically.

Thank you, see you out there soon, NZ!

‘Be like the river that cuts through the stone…’

– Paul.”

And if that wasn’t enough, after bringing the mighty Halestorm with them on their last NZ tour, this time they are bringing their Canadian friends, Sumo Cyco. The 4-piece from Hamilton, Ontario toured the UK with Devilskin and will be making their way to our shores for the first time. They have also added a bunch of Kiwi talent to the bill with Empire opening in Invercargill; Setting Fire To Stacey in Dunedin & Christchurch; Curlys Jewels in Wellington; Coridian in Mt Maunganui and His Masters Voice in Hamilton and Auckland.
