NZ locals LOOKIN UP have released their 2nd single from their upcoming album Gold, which is set to be released this year on the 5th October. Enough was the first single to be released and now we have Don’t.

The single cover for the new single is very New Zealand, with the image of sea and land, a continuation of the Enough cover art.

Both tracks are similar in sound. They seem grungy and somewhat reminiscent of Shihad and Villainy. Lookin Up definitely have a kiwi sound to their music and I’d say if that’s your type of music I’d definitely recommend checking it out.

It’s a different sound for the band, with their older music being described as hardcore, whereas their latest releases add an element of punk. This could be a result of a lineup change and a short break or it could just be that the band is trying something different. Either way, it’s definitely a good track and I look forward to hearing the rest of the album.

Lookin Up will be going out on tour across NZ before heading to Europe in support of their new album. They will be performing songs from the new album but also some older material from their 2014 release Reborn.
