Kicking off a bangin’ of a night full of Auckland based artists at Galatos was Na Noise. The duos fresh bass lines had everyone up and dancing. Following the lo-fi duo-wop Na Noise was, what seem to be a crowd favourite, Mikaela; welcomed to the stage with “yaaass queen”‘s shouted from the pit. Her last song was surprisingly companioned by Mikaela herself playing a harmonica beautifully adding to the electric guitars. Third on the bill was Aucklands own indie-rockers Daffodils. Although they played a shorter set than usual energies were high; with crowd dancing and singing along.
Headlining the night were kiwi rockers Miss June! Fresh off the release of their new album the day prior, ‘Bad Luck Party’ the band and crowd were reering to go. As Miss Junes set started, the moshing began with beer held high. The band absolutely smashed their set, and if you haven’t check out their new album you should do yourself a favour and LISTEN!
