Actors Gabriel Macht and Patrick J Adams are fixing their ties for another season of hit legal drama Suits. Season 7 of the hit American show will comprise 16 episodes in 2017 that will surpass its impressive 100-episode mark, meaning it is now the longest-running series on the USA network.
News of the renewal comes as the drama series moves through its sixth season where genius ‘lawyer’ Mike Ross (Adams) is behind bars after (finally) being caught for not actually being a lawyer.

This bold narrative turn, though a long-time coming, has provided a fresh spin on the Suits formula that has arguably been growing a little stale in the later seasons, and leaves Harvey Specter (Macht) and his colleagues at Pearson Specter Litt with plenty to work with as they fight to get Mike (Adams) out of jail, as well as keep their law firm alive following the mass departure at the end of season 5.
I’m glad to see Suits returning for another season as creator Aaron Korsh and his team have done well to streamline the plot and remove some of the earlier seasons baggage.
The future is well and truly looking brighter than ever for USA Network, particularly with hacker thriller Mr. Robot and forthcoming dramas Eyewitness and Falling Skies on its schedule.
