The inaugural Madcap Madness Festival is arriving in Auckland on Saturday the 1st of July, and you’ll definitely want to be there!

Situated on one of Auckland’s most colourful strips, Karangahape Road, the musical showcase is spread across Whammy, Backroom & Wine Cellar and will include performances from some of our country’s most talented musicians, covering a multitude of genres across the musical spectrum.

What’s great about Madcap Madness Festival is that the focus is on supporting homegrown music, therefore the line-up of over 21 artists will be entirely comprised of New Zealand-based musical talent. Among those performing this year are familiar names like Raiza Biza, Montell 2099, Villette, SoccerPractise, Shiraz & LSJ.

Madcap Madness is about discovering new music and supporting artists you’re already following while the intimacy of the indoor setting promises to bring punters a complete community experience drawing together the local music, art, and culture. Basically good vibes only.

The event is R18 but is promising to foster an inclusive environment no matter your race, gender, or sexual orientation, with a zero-tolerance harassment policy.
