Following a period of writing and recording abroad, Aussie singer-songwriter Vance Joy has unveiled a brand new single, ‘Lay It On Me’.

The song is the first taste of new music from Vance Joy since 2014’s hugely successful, debut album, Dream Your Life Away.

The new track had its origins in an old phone recording which was always destined to find a new home. “I had this guitar riff I had been playing for ages but had never found a home for. When it was glued together with a lyric I had in my phone, ‘everything starts at your skin,’ the song started to make sense,” he explains.

The stunning, cinematic video, directed by acclaimed US director Mimi Cave, sees Vance Joy performing alongside US actress Angela Sarafyan of the HBO series ‘Westworld’.

In support of the new release, Joy has announced a string of Australian theater dates on his Lay It On Me Tour. He’ll then embark on a run of North America shows. For more information visit vancejoy.com. Watch the new video below.
