Since she last graced New Zealand in 2015 after touring with Fleetwood Mac, the ethereal singer-songwriter (and queen of my heart) Stevie Nicks is set to return to play shows in Auckland’s Spark Arena and Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Stadium.
Accompanied by The Pretenders, the shows will be part of her legendary 24 Karat Gold Tour. Best known and loved for her work with Fleetwood Mac, Nicks has maintained a heavy presence in the music world and has been a significant part of early life for people all around the world.
Her eighth solo studio album, Nicks released 24 Karat Gold: Songs From the Vault in 2014, and is sure to stun audiences with her timeless charm. Of course, old fans of Nicks will likely be sent careening into the ultimate sense of nostalgia when she inevitably performs old favourites such as Landslide or Edge of Seventeen.
New Zealand is lucky to be embarking on a trip down memory lane this year, with the announcement of several old, classic artists such as Paul McCartney and Cat Stevens set to tour New Zealand towards the end of the year. The news that Stevie Nicks will be here is just one more incredibly exciting show to look forward to and an undoubtedly once in a lifetime experience.
