After playing an intimate show here in August, in support of her recent album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, Halsey returns on April 19th to play her first ever headline show here in Auckland at Spark Arena.

Born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, Halsey‘s stage name is a reference to the Halsey Street station of the New York City Subway, and an anagram of her first name. The Grammy nominated artist began her career by releasing music to Soundcloud, which was shortly followed by her EP Room 93. After building traction with her initial release, she followed this with her debut album Badlands, which spawned multiple hit tracks, such as Castle and New Americana.

With her new album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, the foundations were brought to life from the back story of Romeo and Juliet, with Halsey noting that “the album is top to bottom about me removing myself from a toxic relationship to find love within myself.”

Having just finished a 30 date US Arena tour, which saw her selling out multiple shows and finishing it with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel, She performed Him & I with her partner G-Eazy, which has been streamed on Spotify over 24 million times. As one of Billboard’s top 3 artists for 2017, this show is not to be missed!
