It’ll be the band’s first trip to NZ since 2015’s WestFest and their first headline show since they ended their hiatus in 2013, and the wait is nearly over!

In just 2 days, Fall Out Boy will be hitting the Trusts Arena stage in West Auckland to perform legendary hits and new tracks from their new album MANIA.

The band will be supported by our local faves Openside who have been not-so-subtly hinting at new video material through Instagram posts over the past few weeks and will hopefully be treating us to said material at the show. With Big Gay Out being a wash out this year, the band are sure to be fired up with energy after missing their set at the Pride event.

Openside have had the opportunity to open for a number of incredible acts on our shores, such as twenty one pilots, Ellie Goulding and All Time Low, but this will undoubtedly be the biggest one yet – particularly for front person Possum, who notes Fall Out Boy as being a band that they listened to through those all important teenage years when you’re trying to find yourself.

Fall Out Boy are one of the most notable emo/pop punk bands of the millennial generation, and after arena tours worldwide, it’s about time they got to play to a crowd that reflects the impact they have had (and continue to have) on all of our lives.

March 7th – Trusts Arena, Auckland @ 7:30pm

Tickets to Fall Out Boy’s one off NZ show are still available here.
